Default Plastic in Kurkure... ?

There have been a lot of rumors about plastic in kurkure. But I think there is no element of truth about this. I think kurkure is very safe, has homemade ingredients like rice meal, corn meal, gram meal, edible oil, salt, spices, rice bran oil condiments and flavoring. What do you think, is there really plastic in kurkure or no?

Actually, I dont care about what the media says or what Kurkure says. I like to go by facts. I have found for sure that their plants have stringent norms of manufacture. The plants are ISO 14000 certified and they run in an automated manner in Pune, Kolkata and Channo(Punjab). Also these plants are certified for manufacturing proceses by various external agencies.

kurkure plastic is nothing but rumor sir.spread by a few people who have no other work to do. Kurkure has given their clarification(which was not neccessary becuase kurkure has no plastic). You may also check this video in Youtube YouTube - Kurkure is safe / Kurkure does not contain plastic where they show the manufacturing processes of Kurkure. . How can a product like Kurkure, contain plastic overnight when it is manufactured with ingredients that all we Indians use daily in our Indian kitchen. Kurkure ingredients include rice meal, corn meal, gram meal, salt, spices, seasonings, edible oils, etc. Is any of these ingredients mentioned here contain or is plastic? The answer is No.

All these ingredients are healthy ingredients that are used in the manufacture of Kurkure.. The reason why Kurkure melts is because Kurkure contains carbohydrate in the form of corn starch. When any carbohydrate snack (like gol gappas, matharees and namkeens) is burnt, it burns the same way like Kurkure burns. But that does not mean that those snacks contain plastic.

One thing that impresses me about Kurkure is that it has rice bran oil.Kurkure is made in rice bran oil, the healthy oil, naturally high in good fats (MUFA and PUFA) and low in saturated fats (reduced by up to 40 per cent)

Rice bran oil is the oil extracted from the inner husk and germ of rice. It is known for its high smoke point of 254°C or 490°F and its mild flavor, that makes it preferable for high-temperature cooking methods such as stir frying and deep frying.Rice bran oil is rich in vitamin E, and has antioxidants that is good for the heart. Needed to tell this, I guess not many people know it.

Why Kurkure dude, any food product with 30 percent oil will behave that way. Try it with poppadums; you will get the same result. To top it all, Kurkure oil is nothing but bran oil, rich in low saturated fat.

Well, whenever you are in doubt, look at the facts. Kurkure is manufactured by Fritolay, a division of Pepsi which is one of the most reputed companies in the world. Why will Pepsi lose its stakes and high ground because of this?

Kurkure is prepared from home made ingredients like corn meal, gram meal, edible oil, salt, spices, condiments and flavors (according to various Kurkure variants). The manufacturing process is totally automated, not touched by hand. Trust me, I visited one of its factories at Channo in Punjab.

I personally hate people who try to spoil a brand's name just for the sake of it. Just saw some boys in Youtube showing kurkure burning and having fun, even though we know kurkure has no plastic..still they make a big issue. stupid losers...
